Truck Still Works

BRAD PAISLEY returns with new music — a heart-banging new single “Truck Still Works” which revisits the sounds and themes of his 2003 hit “Mud on the Tires.” Serving up a sonic treat that reminds everyone why they fell in love with his music in the first place, it’s a track that’s packed with nostalgia and the signature Paisley energy. With a new album right around the corner, fans have their fingers crossed that new music is landing right before the start of his TRUCK STILL WORKS TOUR. 

BACK ON THE ROAD

Though we’re yet to hear more details about his forthcoming LP “Son of the Mountains,” the country artist is excited to kick off the first leg of his tour this year, hopping across 20 cities through August. Walker Hayes will be opening throughout the trek, while Avery Anna joins in on select dates — including this stop in Phoenix. 

Picking up where “Mud on the Tires,” left off, he’s here to share that the “Truck Still Works.” Romance, escape, emotion, and everything in between, it’s a signature Brad Paisley track. “Chris and I were like, ‘Oh no! Lean in!’ This is truly a sequel,” the singer shared with Billboard in an interview.

“I look back on the Mud on the Tires era as an album and a time period where everything did sort of launch in a bigger way for me,” Paisley shared. The title track was his fourth #1 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, receiving a Platinum certification from the RIAA. Sharing how the song shot his career upward, he couldn’t imagine his identity as an artist if the track didn’t make the cut. “So it’s really fun to kind of lean into this.”

Last year, Paisley shared that the album’s currently on hold as he wrote a lot of heavy topics — unsure whether everyone’s ready to deal with those themes right now. “The project has some deeper things on it but, like the song itself, is really about creativity and nostalgia and you know the themes that you want to hear right now,” he shared with Billboard.

Expected to come out sometime in early 2025, the man’s assuring everyone that the truck still does work.
