Hard-hitting and unapologetic Iliza Shlesinger had a very modest start in life. Born in 1983 and raised by Jewish parents in Dallas, she uprooted and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a comedian, which she managed to do in style. There, she joined a group of comics to hone her craft.
While there, she would enter several competitions, but her most notable wins came from the then hot social media giant, Myspace's "So You Think You're Funny," and NBC's hit show, "Last Comic Standing," in 2008. With such high profile wins under her belt, she had laid the foundations for an incredible career, one that would see her perform at sold-out venues across the nation.
Her comedy specials, such as "Elder Millennial" and "War Paint," have been huge successes because she approaches serious topics like relationships and social norms from a refreshingly offbeat angle, making viewers laugh out loud.
She'd then attempt an acting career, a feat that she has done with such precision that it has seen her work with some of the industry's biggest and best. Take, for example, the sensational Spencer Unlimited, which she co-starred in alongside Mark Whalberg, or the rom-com Good on Paper, which she wrote and starred in. She also hosts her own late-night talk show, Truth & Iliza, as well as the dating program Excused. She is a writer too, having written several books, such as "Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity" and "All Things Aside: Absolutely Correct Opinions." Never the one to shy away from a challenge, she also has her own podcast, "AIA: Ask Iliza Anything (Earwolf)."
With boundless energy and unwavering passion, she has been on several tours, and people love watching her live, which is the best way to experience her.
She is presently on a North American tour called "Hard Feelings," and fans can anticipate a performance that is equal parts amazing and hilarious as she leads them on an epic journey of all of her musings. Before they sell out, you should purchase tickets NOW on this website!!!
