It’s pedal to the metal for goth metal lovers along the West Coast this spring, with Danzig slated to set stages on fire in a limited, six-date jaunt, kicking off in mid-March 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada, before taking the final bow for the year in Phoenix, Arizona, at the end of March 2025. Opportunities to catch the heavy metal icons led by former Samhain and Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig are growing thin – there are no other tours scheduled for them for 2025.
For those lucky enough to land themselves some tickets, it’s full throttle! From fast atonal riffs to feverish bass lines, from ferocious rhythms to intense lyrics, from the eerie theatrics to flashing horns, from thrashing instruments to the crazy pit of swirling chaos – it’s all the character, theatrics, and superb music on parade – the stuff so often missing from modern horror punk, doom blues and heavy metal. It’s hit after hit, a wall of sound from the deepest pits of hell, all the force and energy and stage prowess Danzig is known for, blasted down on a crowd whose black hearts gobble it up like ghouls feasting on the dead. And the conclusion here: the old devil still got it – in spades!
Glenn Danzig’s brainchild became an unexpected, unique voice within the rock industry, slamming down on unsuspecting music lovers with their eponymous debut album in 1988 and achieving massive chart success with their single, ‘Mother’. To date, Danzig has released 12 studio albums.
Danzig will be joined on tour by American heavy metal supergroup Down, comprising Pantera and Superjoint Ritual vocalist Phil Anselmo, Crowbar and Eyehategod drummer Jimmy Bower, guitarists Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity) and Kirk Windstein (Crowbar), and Goatwhore bassist Pat Bruders. Also hitting the stage as supporting acts are Norwegian black metal band Abbath and the New York hardcore punk veterans, Cro-Mags.
