Arizona Financial Theatre
Hey Phoenix, hey west-coast indie heads! We have a new show coming up at the Financial Theatre for y’all this September, and we’re going to let you have a Best Guess as to who it is coming to town for their dominating tour of The States…any guesses?! None at all?? Come on! We Triple Dog Dare you! Here’s some hints: They love working Night Shifts on stages in every city, she’s a Pillar Of Truth in the indie industry as one of the newest up and coming talents, and she believes Forever Is A Feeling you can find right in her music. Okay okay - if you guessed Lucy Dacus - bingo!
Lucy Dacus, the indie singer who could give any Guitar Hero superstar a run for their money, is going on tour all throughout the year - and we need you right here when she comes to town! She’s coming on Thursday September 11th in support of her 2025 Forever Is A Feeling Tour, are you free that day?! Yes?? Amazing!
Tickets are on sale now and starting at $87 for the show. Grab a friend, and then grab a pair of tickets, and then let’s have the best night ever!
Arizona Financial Theatre, located right in the middle of Phoenix and one of the premiere venues of the city, is so excited to welcome Lucy Dacus to the stage as she takes on the world for her 2025 Forever Is A Feeling World Tour, which has been hitting an extensive and impressive list of venues all across the world since this Spring. Lucy has done and seen it all - The Met in Philly, two nights at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, The Chicago Theatre over in Chi-town, Rockefeller in Oslo, Astra in Berlin, the Trianon in Paris, and of course - right here at the Financial Theatre for a show with us as the autumn days begin to roll in. And Lucy won’t be coming alone - she’ll also be joined by Katie Gavin and jasmine.4.t. - and we expect the show out here in Arizona to be one of her best.
Above all, Lucy's music is immersive. And it makes sense - she’s been playing the prominent guitar in her soundscapes since she could pick up the instrument, and naturally, lyrics and more complex melodies followed. She tried film for a bit in her university program, but was always writing lyrics in the background, hoping she could use them one day for her own project. Ten years on from her first show and debut EP, No Burden, Lucy’s intuition seems to have been right - she was a smash hit at her first performance in NYC back in the spring of 2015, and she saw sweeping success almost immediately. She began performing at festivals like Lollapalooza in Chicago, got on morning time news shows to play some traacks, was signed to Matador Records, and played in Amsterdam. Maybe Dacus was just in the right place at the right time, sure, but above all - she’s always been a creative force to reckon with. Her lyrics are sincere, emotional, and above all - so relatable.
In a recent interview, Lucy told Variety magazine that “I think I just knew I wanted it to be lush. There’s a lot of strings and some harp and celeste on this record. And I wanted a lot of perspectives, too,” Lucy said about her newest record supporting this tour. “I think the challenge was living a life that showed me these things, and believing what I was saying. The hard part for me is not actually in the writing. It’s being able to express to myself: “OK, I actually do think this,” and making peace with being a person that’s constantly changing and just drowning in nuance. Everything is a gray area, and writing from there is very interesting. And I think that all the sad songs should have this aspect of real care and heartfulness, and the happy songs should have a depth and a sincerity and a severity that makes it serious. And yeah, I’m hoping I did some of that.”
Well - she absolutely DID do some of that, and the whole world approves. If you haven’t checked out Forever Is A Feeling yet - first, do that. Then make sure to get a ticket to her show TODAY, and let’s have the best time ever! See you soon.
