The Lola Tour comes in support of his eagerly anticipated 11-track album Lola. Dropped on January 26th, Goth Babe delivered a dose of wanderlust with upbeat tracks like "Bioluminescence." Fun fact: Lola, the album's namesake, is named after his sailing boat, where he resides and sailed a whopping 1,200 miles down the Pacific to Mexico!
In his debut album, Washburn takes the Goth Babe style to new heights, exploring different sounds while keeping his danceable, feel-good psych-pop vibe alive and kicking. “Album opener “Neon Trees” offers a gooey sonic preview, gradually mounting layers of programmed percussion, guitar and electronics while Washburn’s voice echoes up top.” - Paste Magazine

According to the artist's Spotify bio, "Goth Babe is Griff Washburn enjoying himself." Washburn is an environmentalist turned pop sensation who’s bringing an entirely fresh perspective to life. He uses his vibrant energy as the driving force behind his uplifting tracks. From standout psychedelic pop hits like "Early Mornings," "Topanga," and "Sometimes" to the festival-ready banger "Weekend Friend," Goth Babe has curated a sound that effortlessly blends the dreamy vibes of Gold Panda with the refined brilliance of Miike Snow.
Taking cues from beachy psych-surf icons like Surf Curse and Ty Segall, Washburn kicked off his journey on the music scene alongside his skateboarding crew. Together, they dropped the Fuzz Ghost EP which was released on the now-defunct Richmond tape label Ongakubaka Records.
After bidding farewell to the college scene in Nashville, Washburn embraced a nomadic lifestyle, exploring cities like New York and Los Angeles before fully committing to life on the road. He crafted a tiny house in the Portland countryside for himself and his four-legged companion, Sadie. But they faced a setback when it tragically burned down. Undeterred, he embraced his nomadic lifestyle further, mastered sailing and took on a 1,200-mile Pacific journey to Mexico with Sadie by his side. Naming his sailboat Lola, the album is a collection of tracks born from this epic voyage.
